Wrapping up this Winter with Simple and Stylish Scarves

Now is the perfect time of year to consider updating your winter style for the season ahead. With winter right around the corner, the temperatures are soon set to plummet, but the colder weather doesn’t mean you can’t wrap up in style…

The Cosy Wool Scarf

This season we will be relying on a simple wool scarf. Considered to be a key accessory for Autumn/Winter, bloggers, influencers and celebrities have all be snapped wrapped up in striking yet simple scarves.

Be bold and wear your scarf as a statement, draped around the neck on the outside of your coat, or go for a chic and simple look by wrapping your scarf tightly around your neck and tucking it into your coat, you can rely on just a few quality scarves to keep you warm and define your style this winter.

Here’s how we will be styling them…

Dusky Pink (coming soon in the shop)

The colour of the season, dusky pink is an ideal colour choice. It’s ideal teamed with a variety of colours, particularly neutrals. The warm pink tone lifts and adds warmth to greys, blacks and whites, but is equally striking when teamed with camel.

Try adding your dusky pink scarf to your outerwear – with the simple and sleek finish, this scarf looks perfect with textured coats. Drape loosely around the neck and wear on top of your coat. Team with rose gold jewelry and a leather dusty pink bag to accentuate the look.

For the office try wearing your scarf over a black boyfriend fit blazer, longline shirt and leather look leggings, and for a Sunday morning coffee wear with skinny jeans, loafers and a chunky knit cardigan.

Grey and Black

If you plan on wearing your scarf most days during the winter to keep you warm, consider a neutral tone to make mixing and matching easy. Grey and black are brilliantly versatile and can be thrown on with almost anything, adding a stylish and chic finish to your look.

Try styling a black scarf with a camel coat to add balance and contrast, or wrap and tie your grey scarf at your neck with your workwear look for a stylish winter update.

Camel

Camel is big news for the season ahead and is actually more versatile than you might think. Try teaming with navy blue, black and grey – the warm yellow tone is fantastic for lifting darker shades and adding a stylish touch.

We often buy our coat before we buy our accessories, so if you’ve gone for a grey or navy coat a mustard scarf is a perfect option. Add volume to straight cut and simple coats by wrapping your scarf loosely around your neck, or add a hit of colour to your otherwise neutral office look by draping your scarf around your neck and leaving it loose.

For Autumn/Winter it is well worth investing in a few simple scarves in a variety of colours. Wrap up in style and create hundreds of looks with just one or two simple scarves.
